Tony Ferguson Says Conor McGregor Fight Was Offered; 'Notorious' Turned It Down

Tony Ferguson told reporters Friday that a lightweight title fight with Conor McGregor was on the table, but The Notorious ultimately turned down UFC's offer.

"They offered me Conor and Conor didn't want to fight," Ferguson said, according to ESPN.com's Arash Markazi

Instead, Ferguson will square off against Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 223 in April. 

      

Randal Grichuk Traded to Blue Jays; Cardinals Land Dominic Leone, Conner Greene

The Toronto Blue Jays‏ acquired outfielder Randal Grichuk in a trade with the St. Louis Cardinals on Friday in exchange for relief pitcher Dominic Leone and pitching prospect Conner Greene. 

Toronto announced the deal on Twitter.

Grichuk is coming off a 2017 campaign where he posted a .238/.285/.473 triple-slash line with 22 home runs and six stolen bases across 122 games for the Cards.

Report: Roy Halladay Autopsy Shows Traces of Morphine in System at Time of Death

An autopsy report provided to TMZ Sports on Friday revealed two-time Cy Young Award winner Roy Halladay died of blunt trauma and drowning after his plane crashed into the Gulf of Mexico in November.

The toxicology report also said Halladay had "had zolpidem (the generic name for Ambien), as well as morphine in his system at the time of the crash," per TMZ.
